Each year, Riddu Riđđu depends on our amazing volunteers – veakhit – to pull off the world’s greatest festival! Our volunteers are an integral part of the festival team and, as such, we do our best to make sure you have a memorable, unique time with us.
This year's Riddu Riddu takes place 10 to 13 July in the heart of Olmmáivággi/Manndalen. If you're 16 or older, and want to be a part of the team, fill out the form below and let us know why you want to volunteer! You don’t need any special background or qualifications to volunteer with us, but if you have any particular skills or experience that you think might be relevant (professional or volunteer), let us know.
What can I do as a volunteer? Read about the different festival areas here. Let us know which ones sound interesting to you and we’ll do our best to match you accordingly.
If you’re coming with a friend and want to volunteer together, let us know by sending an email to frivillig@riddu.no and we’ll try to schedule you together.
Why do we ask about languages?
Riddu Riđđu is a multilingual festival. Sometimes we need interpreters, and some roles require a certain fluency, so don’t be shy – let us know which languages you speak!
Children’s Festival / Mánáidfestivála
The children’s festival shifts are 10 -12 July. These volunteers generally work all three days, and will need to show a valid Norwegian Criminal Record Check for working with children (free to order, but does require a Norwegian ID number). Note: Mánáidfestivála volunteers must be able to speak Norwegian, and preferably also Davvisámegiella.
You will receive an automatic email once your application is received, and we’ll be in touch by early June to set up your volunteer shifts. Contact us with any questions in the meantime at frivillig@riddu.no.
Thanks for your interest in volunteering with us, we can’t wait to meet you!
